Organic Chia Seeds

SUPERDIET chia seeds are naturally rich in Omega 3 (alpha-linolenic acid content: 1.7 per daily portion) in fibers and source of plant protein. This small, blue-gray, black or sometimes white seed is the same size as flaxseeds or sesame seeds. They grow on a herbaceous plant from the same family as mint and sage (Lamiaceae). Originally from Mexico and Guatemala, it was an important pre-Columbian food source for the Mayas and the Aztecs. It was considered an essential element of their diet. The seed was so highly esteemed, they gave it as offerings to their gods. Chia seeds are also one of the main plant sources of omega3, essential fatty acids which our bodies need but are unable to produce. They are grown outdoors and then harvested, sorted and cleaned.

RECOMMENDED USE

Shake the sachet well before use. Take 1 to 2 teaspoons a day (about 4.5 to 9 g/day) mixed in the food of your choice, like yogurt, in 2 doses. Each dose: 1 teaspoon (approx. 4.5 g) to be eaten in yogurt for example. Close firmly after use. Store in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.

PRECAUTIONS FOR USE

Pregnant or breast-feeding women should consult their doctor. Do not take more than 15 g per day.
